USA – Seventh Edition

CEO Connection

Dear Team,

I would like to wish each of you a happy holidays. The new year is approaching, so let’s reflect on 2019 and our accomplishments. When we look back, we have much to be grateful for and we can be optimistic about the new year.

We are heading towards the end of the 2020 fiscal year, which will end in March, with very strong results. Revenue by the end of November – which includes the impact of the cyber-security attack- was close to $35 M USD which means we are 23% above budget and 42% above Year over Year. Not only are the bigger accounts (led by Santander and Avangrid) performing well but we are also making noteworthy progress in some of our newer accounts such as Kantar ( and Forever Mark (

In terms of profitability, we are also above budget (65% above EBIT PB by the end of November) and contributing remarkably to the overall results of the everis group being the operation with the best relative profit indicators and third in overall net profit. During the last quarter of the year (January – March) we need to push so we maintain these outstanding results in order to keep the momentum for FY20. At this point I would like to acknowledge your efforts and your contributions to these results. Thank you!

Finally, we are currently working on the budget for FY20. It is going to be hard to keep up this strong pace but we plan to do it by continuing to increase our account portfolio and diversifying our operations in our main accounts. We are confident that, with this team, we will do it!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to building a new decade of success with you in 2020!

All the best,

The IDB recently published the study: Taking the pulse of the Internet of Things in Latin America and the Caribbean by Rafael Perez, Colon Sergio Navajas and Elizabeth Terry. The report includes everis as a partner for the  “SmartCity in a Box” pilot in Temuco, Chile. The pilot was launched in 2017 and is supporting software developers to create solutions on an open technology, “smart city” platform developing initially four application scenarios: air quality monitoring, virtual bus stops, urban solid waste collection management and incident management in the city.  The pilot initiative has the support of the IDB, CORFO (Chilean government agency for economic development), the Municipality of Temuco, the University of La Frontera and everis, as a technology partner. The study can be found in its entirety here.

The everis USA offices came together to celebrate the season with holiday social events this month. The events were a great opportunity to get together with colleagues, celebrate the holidays and celebrate what we have accomplished together in 2018! See the photos from some of the office events here.

The used laptop purchase program is going on now! We have recently shipped out 30 laptops to those who took advantage of the laptop buyback opportunity.

The Birmingham and Dallas everis teams collaborated for over a month in a Cells Hackathon event which ended last week. After some introductory sessions, the Hackathon team worked on developing Net Cash functionality that presents interesting challenges and possibilities when working with Cells. The event brought together more than a dozen team members from different areas, with diverse skills and technical backgrounds. Besides sharing tech knowledge, the experience added some management 3.0 tools to the sessions and some friendly pizza time, giving the team time together to have fun. Elvis Novoa won the Hackathon challenge and earned an Amazon Gift Card as the person voted as most valuable Cells companion. The Hackaton was a success and we managed to get a working prototype of one functionality of Net Cash using Cells.

Let’s welcome the new professionals who recently joined everis USA: Livia Elgart and Brendan Logue in Arlington; Claudia Villalobos, David Moore and Alex Gorey in Birmingham; and Antonio Ashworth in New York.
